Angie Klink is the author of the lift-the-flap children’s books “Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer” showcasing Purdue University and “I Found U” featuring Indiana University. These books are written for children ages 8 and younger, but are popular with university fans of all ages. Klink writes advertising copy, personal essays and profiles. She has won 28 American Advertising Federation ADDY Awards, including a 2005 ADDY Award for “Purdue Pete Finds His Hammer.” Klink’s columns have appeared in many Indiana newspapers and magazines. She is published in “Chicken Soup for the Sisters Soul 2”, “Republican’s Soul”, and “Our Fathers Who Art in Heaven.” Her essay “Kindergarten Karma” won an Honorable Mention in the 2007 Erma Bombeck Essay Contest. She lives in Lafayette, Indiana with her husband, two sons and dog, Chloe, the inspiration for the logo of her publishing company, Mascots for Kids.

John Bower

John Bower’s black-and-white photographs of abandoned houses, cemetery statues, and building facades are fine portraits, silver-gelatin renderings of an honored Indiana past. As First Lady Judy O’Bannon put it, John Bower’s photographs are an exploration of the Soul of a people. Bower has published 6 popular Indiana photography books, all celebrating Indiana’s unique, unseen, or unnoticed heritage. He has had over 20 one- and two-person exhibitions (a 4-month show was at the Indiana State Museum in 2007). Bower’s work has been featured in over 50 different newspapers and periodicals.
